3. Health Data (HealthKit)

If you choose to connect CymCym with Apple HealthKit:

  • HealthKit data (steps, sleep, heart rate) is read only with your explicit permission
  • Health data is processed on-device only to generate insights
  • Health data is never transmitted off your device
  • You can revoke HealthKit access at any time in iOS Settings

4. Mental Health Data

As a mental health and wellness app, we understand the sensitive nature of mood data. All mood logs, notes, and emotional insights are:

  • Encrypted at rest using iOS standard encryption
  • Accessible only on your device
  • Never shared with third parties, advertisers, or researchers
  • Completely under your control

5. Data Storage

All data is stored using Apple's SwiftData framework, which stores data locally on your iOS device. Data is:

  • Stored in your device's secure file system
  • Included in your device backups (iCloud or iTunes) if you have backup enabled
  • Deleted when you uninstall the app

6. Third-Party Services

CymCym does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or data collection services. The app operates entirely offline and on-device.

7. Children's Privacy

CymCym is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

8. Your Rights (GDPR)

Even though we don't collect data, you have the right to:

  • Access: View all your data directly in the app
  • Delete: Delete any mood entry or all data by uninstalling the app
